Local Organisations and Charities we have Helped


This is a shortened list concerning over the past few years!

Age Concern We paid for 15 meals at the Northolt Age Concern Christmas Party. We will also be providing a member of the Club to be on the local Board of Directors.
Hearing Dogs for the Deaf We contributed half a dog to this excellent cause! We provided half the funds to purchase, train and home a dog to act as the ears of a person who is deaf. This is one of Rotary's chosen charities, that is a charity that they hope local Clubs will support.
Hanwell Football Club Youth Team We sponsored their Kit and whilst on the subject we provided a Vocational Award to their Manager Sean Ryan for all his contribution in the past years.
Aspire Supporting People with Spinal Injuries as we felt that this was an extremely good cause
Coping with Life CDs The Club has provided a copy of Coping with Life CD to most of the Local Schools that requested one
Claude Osborn Award This is a traditional event for our club which is always one of the highlights of the year
Scouts Gang Show It is proposed that we repeat our donation to the Greenford " District Gang Show
Scouts Fishing Competition This is another annual event that is organised by a past President of the Club Walter Hendry, last year 60 children enjoyed the experience of Fishing with professionals and received Prizes for their efforts
President's Cup for Musical Achievement This is an annual event run in conjunction with Ealing Music Services; Local schools put forward a musical performance from their school. The best of which will receive a prize fund from us of £500 that goes towards music related items for the school. Ealing Council provides an additional prize
International Help As part of the Aims of Rotary we provide humanitarian support throughout the World. Rotary International is in more countries than the UN
Tsunami Appeal We provided over £3200 to go towards tents and provisions following this terrible disaster. With an estimated 120,000 dead and no local clean water our supplies were vital
Polio Plus Rotary's pledge of US$120 million to fund its Polio Plus program to completely eradicate Polio from the face of the Earth was announced in October 1985 at the 40th anniversary of the United Nations. This ambitious commitment electrified the global public health community. Within three years, Rotarians had more than doubled their fundraising goal, donating US$247 million. By 2005, Rotary's financial commitment will exceed half a billion dollars.
Mercy Ships The Ships are mobile surgical units. Providing clean environments for the many types of surgery needed in developing Nations.
Water Aid Water Aid's aims are to provide a natural source of clean water by means of deep bore-holes to developing countries
